As the world continues to minimize the effects of the Coronavirus, many have speculated on what the “new normal” will become. One theory is that the focus on preventative health will not end when the virus is over. The reasoning behind the theory is that people will think, “If I can avoid getting COVID-19, maybe I can do a better job avoiding the common cold, the stomach flu, and influenza.”

With those thoughts in mind, many people may be seeking out the flu shot for the first time. Or, they may have to find a new way to get a flu shot because their employer isn’t offering their annual flu clinic due to Coronavirus concerns.

Visiting your physician is certainly an option, especially if you have other reasons to visit. However, if you don’t want to set up an appointment or are looking to avoid the clinic setting, your community pharmacy is a great place to go.
